Carrie & Tommy’s My First Time
Carrie & Tommy are switching things up for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
In previous years, we’ve done a Roast. But in 2026, we’re going somewhere a little more… nostalgic.
Introducing Carrie & Tommy’s My First Time. We’re inviting some of the biggest comedians from the Festival – Dave Hughes, Lizzy Hoo, Nath Valvo and Jenny Tian, as well as our own Tommy Little – to take a trip down memory lane – performing the very first comedy set they ever wrote.
And that’s not all. We’re also putting some of our favourite friends-of-the-show on the spot, challenging them to perform their first-ever stand-up comedy set live on stage. Larry Emdur and Luke Bateman will give it their best, and then it’s Carrie’s turn. It’s raw. It’s brave. It could be brilliant. It could be beautifully awkward.
