Every year, injured or sick sea turtles are rescued along WA’s coast and cared for by passionate marine experts, including the teams at AQWA and the Dolphin Discovery Centre. Once fully rehabilitated, these endangered turtles are transported over 1,200km across land, air and sea to be released back where they belong… the crystal-clear waters of Ningaloo Marine Park in Exmouth.
And this year, you could be right there for the magical moment they return to the ocean.
Producer Brooke will be flying north to cover the release as Mix94.5’s Turtle Release Reporter, and she’s taking one lucky listener with her!
You’ll travel with the turtles and team from AQWA, flying to Exmouth for the final leg of the journey. With the opportunity to participate and assist the team you’ll witness first-hand the incredible efforts that go into saving these amazing creatures.
