The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave has brought communities together for more than 28 years, with thousands of people stepping up to Shave, Cut or Colour their hair to support Australians living with blood cancer.
Now, Dan & Christie are giving you the chance to turn your fundraising into a fun on-air moment with Beat the Buzz-Cut.
Why It Matters
- Every day, 55 Australians are diagnosed with blood cancer
- 17 people lose their lives
- By 2035, blood cancer is set to become the most prevalent and deadly cancer in the country
Funds raised through the World’s Greatest Shave support the Leukaemia Foundation, helping deliver life-changing care, support services and research — keeping families together when they need each other most.

How Beat the Buzz-Cut Works
- The clippers start buzzing
- Random dollar amounts are called out
- Say “STOP” before the battery runs out
- The last amount announced is added to your fundraising total
If the battery runs out first, $50 will still be awarded for you to donate to the Leukaemia Foundation.
